There are many detox recipes that are available therefore, depending on your taste, preference, and organ you can pick one particular body detox recipe that is likely to suit your needs the best.

There are several medicines found on the market that can help in body detoxification, but I personally would never recommend my readers to go for market bought medicines when there are several home remedies available that do not have any adverse side effects unlike most commercially bought medicines.

Below are a few body detox recipes that you may consider using:

1)Body detox Recipe 1:
1/2 cup of warm water
2 tablespoons of pure lemon juice
1 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoons of black-strap molasses
A pinch of cayenne pepper.
Mix the ingredients properly and gulp it down first thing in the morning for about 10 days.

2)Body detox Recipe 2:
1 carrot
1/2 beetroot
1 stick celery
1 cucumber
How to prepare this particular body detox recipe:
Wash the vegetables properly, peel their skin, cut them into pieces, put them in a juicer, and have the fresh juice for breakfast every day.

3)Body detox Recipe 3: Gazpacho Soup
3 cups seeded and diced red ripe tomatoes, red ripe
2 cups medium diced red bell pepper
2 cups medium diced red onions
1/2 cup medium diced celery
2 cups medium diced cucumber
1 teaspoon of minced garlic
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 cups organic vegetable juice
pinch of cayenne
1 teaspoon cumin (optional)

Method of preparation:
All you need to do is put the diced tomato, peppers, red onions, celery, and cucumber in a bowl and mix them together. Then divide the mixture into two bowls. Add garlic to one of the bowls and transfer it to a blender. Make a puree of the mixture until it becomes smooth. Next, add vegetable juice, cayenne, and cumin to the puree and run the blender again. Now add this freshly made mixture into the other bowl of diced vegetables and put it in the refrigerator for the night. Next day, before serving, you can garnish it with cilantro and lemon and voila, you have your Gazpacho Soup ready.

Body Detox Recipe Options – How to Make Your Recipes Detox Friendly

January 4th, 2011

You do not have to have a special body detox recipe book in order to enjoy the benefits of a body detox. In fact, you can use your favorite recipes to make your own body detox recipe book. The first thing you need to do is pick out your favorite recipes. You will want ones that cover breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most people just grab some cereal or fast food for breakfast but that contains huge amounts of things, which can cause your body to slow down and can help to build toxins within your system.

It is a good idea to have a solid plan for what you are going to make for breakfast. If you need something quick, consider making things like quiche or breakfast burritos that are home made and can simply be reheated. This is the first step to making a variety of body detox recipe options.

To avoid preservatives, make your own wraps and breads. Bread makers are fairly standard equipment for kitchens and you can get organic wheat flour. Simply freeze what you are not using to store. This is a healthy alternative to prevent you from adding toxins from processed foods back into your diet. For lunch recipes consider home made bread for your sandwich or a salad. You can even enjoy a vegetable stir fry. If possible reheat in a pan rather than a microwave or eat cold. Simply substitute organic ingredients and tofu. When making stir fry or any type of dish involving vegetables cook for a short time on high heat and make sure the vegetables are as fresh as possible. This is probably one if not the most important thing when it comes to making a body detox recipe.

Drinks are favorites when it comes to a body detox recipe because you can fit so much more into a drink or juice than food. Consider modifying smoothie recipes and healthy juice drinks body detox recipe options by placing a variety of antioxidant and omega fatty acid rich fruits such as coconut or Acai along with blueberries. This can make a wonderful drink option and some of the juice combinations make a wonderful marinade for meat that can turn a normal marinade recipe into a body detox recipe.

In fact, you may be surprised to find that a body detox recipe modification comes out better than the original and not just in taste. These types of recipe modifications can help you to feel better as well and have more energy. It does not take a special body detox recipe book to provide the perfect recipes for your detox diet. All it takes is a bit of effort and some time sitting down and going through your current books to find things you love and make them better by switching out ingredients for ones that will provide you with a greater amount of energy, a healthier lifestyles and provide you with a way to keep your body in its best shape without having to make and plan special meals.

Raw Vegetable Juices for Raw Nutrition

February 13th, 2009

Real Raw Food, Juicing Nutrition and Vitamins

A daily vitamin packed drink of your choice that includes romaine lettuce, celery, stalks kale, apples, lemon, and fresh ginger (or make your own drink)

To eat healthy we need to eat daily one pound of raw vegetables for each 50 pounds of body weight.

By juicing this amount, it is very easy to get 50% of your body weight’s requirement of raw vegetables.

Raw food is important to our body because when it is consumed, it does not raise our white blood cells like cooked food does.

It did not change when raw foods or low temperature cooked foods were consumed.

Health juices are not a new thing over history. Limejuice cured scurvy in the16th century, saving thousands of sailor’s lives. But our generation has only recently discovered the nutritional and biochemical properties of fruit and vegetable fresh juices.

Juicing is the cheapest and most economical method to maintain the health of the individual in our time today. It was discovered that the best time to take a juice drink is in the morning and during the evening.

real raw food

Freshly squeezed juices from vegetables and fruit contain more vitamins and minerals, along with enzymes, than any canned or fresh juice. When making your juice, always include a dark leafy vegetable such as spinach, broccoli, cabbage, or beet tops.

It was discovered that the best time to take a juice drink is in the morning and during the evening.

Within ten minutes after consuming the drink they are absorbed into the bloodstream.

This is an advantage to drinking freshly juiced vegetables as compared to eating fresh vegetables and fruit.

Eating solid foods take several hours to digest, while a fresh fruit or vegetable drink is absorbed quickly into the system. The fiber is lost due to the juicing process but a higher amount of nutrients goes into the body and its system.

Juice Detoxing to Detox Fast!

February 12th, 2009

Juice Liver; Detoxify and Cleanse

Due to the highly processed foods that we consume and the polluted air that we breathe, our body accumulates toxins.

The body does its best to eliminate the toxins, but ends up being stressed due to the overload. Symptoms such as chronic headaches, skin allergies, premature ageing, etc. start to manifest.

What can we do to help our ailing body? Try juice fasting, as a safe way to detox! Many studies have been done on the beneficial effects of juice fasting. We can increase our lifespan, treat bio chemical imbalances, reduce our cholesterol levels, treat allergies, acne, etc.

In juice fasting, by giving the body a rest from food and digestion, the immune system can focus on elimination of toxins, with the aid of the organs of elimination (liver, pancreas, gall bladder, kidneys, intestines, skin, etc.).

During a prolonged fast (3 plus days), the body will start to burn off and digest its own tissues by process of autolysis in a discriminate manner.

It will first decompose and burn those cells and tissues, which are diseased, damaged, aged or dead (tumors, morbid cells, abscesses, excess fat deposits, etc.). The stomach shrinks and becomes less acidic.

Then, certain detox symptoms are experienced eg. acne breakouts, fatigue, headaches, as the body eliminates its toxins. These symptoms should ease and we will feel a renewed sense of health and well-being!

raw vegetable juice, detoxifyingYou can juice almost any fruit and vegetables that you can eat raw. Vegetables that are good for juicing include tomatoes, cucumbers, celery and carrots. Fruit vegetable combinations taste delicious.

For example, apple and carrot juice makes a nice blend. Another nice combination is apple, celery and tomato.

For vegetable and fruit skins, peel them off especially if you suspect that they have been sprayed. If you can use organic fruits, this will be much better. Rinse off in filtered or distilled water.

How to Juice for Juice Fasting?

It is recommended to dilute your juice 50/50 with water, especially if you are using fruits and the juice is too sweet. Use distilled water, if possible, for dilution. Also, remember that you can’t buy freshly prepared juice from a supermarket or any juice that comes from a packet, despite what the label on the packet says.

Any juice in a carton, can or bottle has been heat treated for preservation. Juice has to be prepared fresh! The longer the juice stays out, the less fresh raw food enzymes it will contain. This means that you either find a store that prepares it right before you drink it or you use a juicer yourself.

Raw Eating for Raw Food Health

February 8th, 2009

Raw Food: Juice vs Blend

We saw an interesting article about starvation in which the comment was made that there are really two types of starvation. One, of course, is caused by too little or no food at all.

But there is another type of starvation caused by serious malnutrition, and even though the U.S. is the fattest nation on the planet, our bodies are starved for important nutrients and enzymes.

It’s partly why we’re so fat, because we keep eating and eating, but we’re eating highly processed, cooked foods that have the essential components burned out of them.

Cooking removes up to 80% of food’s important amino acids, fibers and vitamins.

It’s one reason why switching to a raw foods diet makes such compelling sense. When you start eating raw foods, you’re suddenly getting all the nutrition from food that nature intended you to get. It’s the way our bodies were meant to eat, in balance with the planet.

We suddenly become the vibrant, healthy animals we’re supposed to be. But we still live in the modern world, with all its pressures and time constraints.

It’s one reason why getting your whole foods from juicing is a good idea. You can still get all the fiber you need without taking the time to cut, peel or slice the food.

Raw foods do take a little more time to chew and swallow and that’s a good thing. But if you don’t have the time for that, then you should consider using juices for at least a portion of your raw foods intake.

You do need to invest in a good juicer though, and that’s different from a blender. A blender can’t process the fruit peels that contain most a fruit or vegetables vitamins and enzymes. A juicer is a more high-powered appliance that will process everything – seeds and stems, peels and pulp.

It’s designed to do it quickly and efficiently. They can be expensive, but there are many more options today than there used to be as this concept has gained in popularity.
